guidance fundraiser

Dear Parents/Guardians, 1-10-18

Every year we have a school wide fundraiser to benefit a local or national charity.  Last year we supported a local dog shelter that finds new homes for abandoned puppies.  We called it “Pennies for Pups”.  It was very successful.  We collected over $400 dollars.  This year we will be supporting a national organization called the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  It is called Pennies for Patients.  Each student will receive a box which they will put together in guidance class.  It is a fun and handy way for students to store pennies that they have collected from around the house.  Donations are strictly voluntary and there is no competition between students or classes as to who collected the most.  Please disregard the suggestions on the box that mentions to set up a fundraising page or to donate online.  Each teacher will have a larger box in the classroom to collect the pennies from their students.  On Wednesday. January 31st, I’ll collect the money and have it counted.  This is a wonderful chance for our students to help children who suffer from Leukemia or Lymphoma and their money will also help support blood cancer research.  Thank you for your support in this effort.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thank You,

Thomas Goss
